Hi all,
I am using product comparison feature of viart, but I want to keep discontinued products in some way in order to allow comparing the older products with the new ones. But I did not find a way to do that. Maybe it can be done with opening discontinued products category under every category, but I don't think it is the correct method. Is there anybody who has the same situation, or find a solution for this problem?
Any suggestions?
Best Regards,

On the products page UNcheck
" Make this Product available for sales ".

When I do that the product completely disappears from the front end. I can see the product only at the admin interface. So how the visitors find and compare the product with the other which are available for sale. What I want to do is like the SONY does at the following link: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/ProductComparisonWizard.action?deepestLevelCategoryId=TVP+15-26+Sony+BRAVIA+TV&site=odw_en_GB& pcReturnUrl=%2Fview%2FView.action%3Fsection%3DODW%2BSS%2Ben_GB%2BProducts%26productcategory%3DTVP%2B15-26%2BSony%2BBRAVIA%2BTV%2 6site%3Dodw_en_GB%26page%3DProductSeriesHome%26category%3DTVP%2B15-26%2BSony%2BBRAVIA%2BTV%26site%3Dodw_en_GB%26category%3DTVP%2 B15-26%2BSony%2BBRAVIA%2BTV§iontype=Product

Not sure if this is right but if they are discontinued I presume you don't want people buy them. if so could you not set up your system to remove the add to cart button if out of stock, the products would still show up for comparision purposes (although comparisons is not something I have used yet).
You could maybe add the word Discntinued somehwere is the description or title.
