WE have been having problems for 3-4 weeks on custom programming with viart. We are having problems with the recurring billing and getting expiration dates to automatically renew once a member has renewed. Looking for someone that knows the viart system and can help. Will pay for service.

Once you conduct the automatic billing, and you process recurring orders, it should automatically update their dates...
 
What's the process that you're using?

We paid viart to do some customizing on their site so we could use it for memberships. It is supposed to allow members to sign up for monthly access... It does not update the expiration date field in the client mainteance screen. Also, it is not charging them monthly, just taking their original payment.

I'm not sure if I could be of assistance if this is a custom viart feature that I'm not familiar with. have you gone through the payment method and make sure that all appropriate features are checked?
 
We do re-curring billing, but it's done in house and we charge their credit cards.

I understand, but I think that recurring payments is part of their core product and was not modified for us.
 
Did I understand your response correctly that you manually bill your clients for recurring charges and not use the viart for this?

No, I do use viart for this. I use the credit card module. I click on proceed recurring orders. This does the work. I have a kron job/task automate this everyday at 6:00am.

Let me see if I get this right.... I don't have Viart yet, but I'm considering using it and recurring billing is something I need, as I do it now.
 
Are you saying that recurring billing in Viart only works by creating a new transaction every cycle, and then billing the customer for that transaction, regardless, if the payment method is PayPal, or Credit Card, or any other?
 
Does that generate a invoice to the customer every cycle?
 
I'm not sure I'd like it to work this way, as I don't believe it's best to have an invoice generated every month.
 
Have you had any problems with it missing a cycle, for example, your CRON task does not run properly?
