Is it required to have a SSL before google checkout will work? I have set everything up in google api in admin and as well on google checkout website but once you put in your shipping info and then click continue its like the entire site locks up. Everything just times out. If anyone could help or give me any tips it would be much appreciated.

I don't have SSL on my site as all transactions take place once the customer is transferred at google, do you get any errors displayed when you have pressed continue? I am no expert by the way just seems there isn't too much support going on in this forum.

no errors at all, just sits there for like 3 min then finally times out, and its like the entire site crashes and such and you have to wait like 5 min before you refresh.

Actually, Google Checkout API module has been rewritten in version 3.2. Now it doesn’t require additional
settings like Proxy settings to submit payment on Google. But please note that for some advanced statuses checks you may need to set correct proxy settings, like it is described in our online manual at:
