We are thinking of getting viart, but we're trying to gather all the info we can. one of the last remaining questions we have is whether viart has google analytics integration in the checkout process? Or is this something we would have to hack-in? It's important to monitor where people drop off in the check out process so design changes can be made accordingly.
thanks,
Bill

Hello
Google analytics is built in.
You just have to provide your GA ID and viart will start the tracking.
Go to
Administration ==> System ==> Global Settings => Scroll down to " Tracking Settings"
Turn on Google analytics tracking and enter your
'UA-xxxxx-x ' code provided by GA.

Don't you check in Google Analytics inside Google - the Viart setting is to create a tracking link with Google?

Enables Google to collect details of sales made from AdWords links and give you ROI analysis on the investment you make with Google.

I have checked the Google Analytics checkbox, and put in my Google Analytics tracking ID, but I'm still not getting any info coming in for some reason... and I don't see any Google tracking HTML/JS on my pages.
Any idea what could be up?

I used to update the html templates for the completed order page to have the google analytics code in it, and my code worked there.
Since I've removed that and am relying on Viart to do it, my analytics are all 0. I think there's a bug here somewhere, but haven't had time to pursue it with support.

I think it's really the easiest thing which you can add from Global Settings. Just check Google Analytics checkbox and type your Google Tracking Code in the textbox below like UA-123456-7.
For original version 3.5 it works flawlessly.

Hi Monk, just entered the details as you described but must wait 24hours for google to visit the site & populate the report.
I am not expecting any problem but I will report back tomorrow with result.

Well it did not take 24 hours as google analytics is working ok already!
It is as Monk stated, very easy & I can confirm works no problem.

Have the same problems as mltsy - selected the checkbox and added the GA id, but the ViArt pages still do not show the Google Analytics javascript code.

JoeDonahue - check again since I know it works (at least is on our site as well as our test site). When you look at the page source of your home page it will be all the way to the bottom. Do a search for "getTracker" and you should see your Google Analytics tracker code on that found line.
