I would like to offer my customers gift certificates but, even after reading the manual, I have no idea how to make that happen.
 
I can effectively create individual gift vouchers, create a gift voucher type, but I cannot figure out how to get a product that generates a gift voucher.
 
I would like to offer a voucher that allows the customer to specify the amount through a drop down menu of predefined prices and then generates a code for them that they can send to a friend.
 
Is there any chance I can get a walk through on how to create this product/gift certificate?

The main condition is this gift voucher product must have a product type with the "Gift Voucher" option selected. Please see where this field is located on this image: http://viart.com/img/product-type-fields.jpg

No, I don't have problems with settings. I'm just looking for a simple walk through on how to create a product that is a gift certificate.
 
I need to make sure it's done right as I have a lot of traffic that hits my site and I don't want a product that doesn't function going live for any amount of time.
