Further, extract the above mentioned file into the 'admin' folder of your shop replacing an existing one. Don't forget to make a backup copy of the current file in case something goes wrong.

This is insane. 3.5 hasn't been announced on this forum, I haven't received an email, but it's been posted to download.
Absolutely crazy.

It has been announced, and it was emailed to us on yesterday morning I believe.

Dear Bill,
We have sent a newsletter announcing our 3.5 release to all subscribed users. In addition, we added the news to our news section and to the hot news section on our index page.
With kind regards,

Thanks, this file seems to have done the trick. There was one error though while upgrading the DB, there's a typo in your file:
-------------------------------------------
Unknown column 'sudmenu_style_name' in 'va_header_links'
SQL: ALTER TABLE va_header_links CHANGE COLUMN sudmenu_style_name submenu_style_name VARCHAR(64)
-------------------------------------------
You've written "suDmenu" instead of "suBmenu". I was able to do this fix directly in phpmyadmin, so I'm all set, but I thought you should update your file for others who will download it.

Hi Enrique,
We have included the fix in admin_upgrade.php script as the field was misspelled, thus you see this error because you've already fixed field's name by yourselves and the following SQL query can't be executed.
