Provide ability for Customer to see what shipping will be on the "View Basket" page - basket.php
The code would be similar to the Checkout - order_info.php page where the page calculates the shipping fee after the customer selects his/her deliver state/country
So, on the "View Cart" page, the customer would select their delivery state/country. The page would then estimate shipping based on that state/country
Ideally, if the cart/cookies/whatever could remember the state/country and update the estimated shipping as the customer adds more items to the cart.
 
Mals-e does this. So does another competing shopping cart software that I know of with a name starting with "M"

Viart is so powerful that I'll take awhile to learn all the features, most of which I find by accident

I'd definitely want this, too. Most serious e-carts already have this.

The Shipping Info should be shown while viewing the Basket/Shopping Cart page.

I'd go it one better. I'd like a link on the small cart block to click to enter zip code for estimated shipping. I've shopped on sites that offered it and it was a really big help.
 
I've also shopped on sites that gave a message like "You can add $XX.xx more in products without paying more shipping". It definitely encouraged me to buy more before being bumped up to the next shipping tier.
