Misleading guys, and if I was being unkind (which I am not) really an outright fabrication.
This is the principle reason that I spent so much time testing this cart and spending time on the forum. the question is, are you going to do this properly now, or do you have no intention of integrating Google checkout properly.
When I say now, I mean within the next week?
Please respond.... I have already left a support request.
Kind regards
Kim

Sigh! I just put so much time into Viart because of the Google compatibilty that was advertised, and then waited patiently for the new version 3.3 to make it compliant that I feel I have wasted these past couple of months. It is a disappointment.
I wish they would answer these posts, particularly when the support questions seriously affect business in such a direct way. My turnover has halved since I had to remove Google as a payment provider, and although it is a quiet period at the moment, looking at the statistics, a good 80% of my customers were using Google, now I am left with Paypal Express and missing the free transactions that Google are giving until the end of the year.
Sorry to bump this, but please could I have an answer....

Dear, Kim
As far as we are aware the main requirement of Google Checkout is to have their images on your site. We would recommend you to set the radio button control for images control via Administration > Orders > Order Profile > Payment System Settings and select what image (small or large) to display for your payment gateway.
Then upload your Google image via Administration > Orders > Payment Systems > Google Checkout > Edit Page > Images section. You can also add the Google logo button on the basket page.
When this is done, we would advise you to contact Google Checkout and show them these changes. Possibly, this will be enough for renewal and approving your account. If not, it would be great if they could point on what should be added to comply with their requirements.

Dear Anjula
As far as I can see, and they were pretty lear about the following:
1. The button must be GOOGLE HOSTED meaning it should be HTML, NOT AN IMAGE.
2. GOOGLE MUST NOT be used as a radio button. So we need to be able to input HTML to POST/GET to Google, which might be offered as an option in the admin as aan alternative to radio buttons
3. The customer should NOT input any details on Viart before checkout, their details will need to be captured using cookies.
4. Aria.co.uk have managed this by putting the google hosted button on the basket page and giving the customer the alternative option of going through the normal checkout process. This would skip the confimation/continue page.
I will try your suggestion, but I am pretty sure it won't work. IMHO you should perhaps withdraw the Google checkout (and hide your news article) until it complies, as it is rather misleading to say that Viart offers Google checkout when it can't be used.
Kind regards
kim
PS sorry about the caps, I would use bold but there is no html on this page. It is only for emphasis, not shouting.

Hi
Been reading and following the issue with Viart and Google.
Take a look at Buckdrop it may be something that you can use while Viart meets the requirement of Google. Follow the link: http://www.buckdrop.com.
Should have you up and running within a short time.

Hi battleaxe
Depending on how many items your are sell, you might try this method instead of losing sells. Why not make a standard html page with your products using Google's html APIs to capture sells while the issue with Viart are resolved.
Even thought Viart is very good. We had to think outside the box. Allowing for flexibility developing some easy but effective methods besides Viart, to make sure sells are not lost. Due to the nature of the Internet.
This is only a suggestion!

Dear Kim,
Thanks for the information and recommendations. The main problem is that Google Checkout API module has rather limited functionality in comparison with the comprehensive ViArt Shop structure (i.e calculating the discounts, taxes, etc or.). Thus, Google Checkout doesn't support all features of ViArt Shop and it is recommended to use our checkout process along with Google Checkout if you want to benefit from all functionalities our shopping cart provides.
We can offer to make some simplified module for Google Checkout but please note that not all possibilities of ViArt Shop will be available in this case.
Nevertheless, this problem is on the first place for us and we will consider the best possible solution in the very short time.

Thanks Tony
I am having a look at it. It looks simple and effective, but I wonder how it will work with multiple articles and options. Anyway, it is a little late now (yawn), but it looks like I would have to generate a link of each product details page. The greatest difficulty, just giving it a quick glance is that there is no variable for quantity, only allowing my customer to buy one item when they often buy two or three.
Thank you for the heads up though, I will take a closer look tomorrow. It looks like an excellent bit of coding though, very useful.
Kind regards

Dear Kim,
We believe we will complete some improvements to Google Checkout by the end of the week.
