We want to display quantity pricing on our detail pages.

Qty: 1-10 $10ea
11-100 $9ea
100-1000 $8ea

Has anyone done this before?

Hi wazoodle

See if this fit what you want: In the Product section you'll find also "Options & Components" enter the quantity and arrangement how you want it to appear. This should do the trick.

I use options a lot. This is not a simple matter.
In the "Edit Product" Page - Price (List Price) You would enter the basic price - and then the price reductions against the quantities in the Option.

The problem is - as I see it - you would have to enter a price adjustment for every quantity - 1,000 + options?

You could have the options
1-10 Price = 0 (zero change on the published price
11-100 Price = -$1 (= each item priced at $9)
etc.

But the buyer will still have to specify the quantity required AND select the price bracket option. Not very smart?

Now, there may be an easy alternative - and someone will put me right. Am I wrong, Tony?

I suggest you raise a support ticket and ask Viart.

If you do get a good solution it would be helpful to everyone to publish it here Smile

Regards

Chris

Thanks for the replies:

Tony: that would work for a small shop, we manage have stores that sell commodities, (fabrics, hardware bits and pcs etc) they have between 4000 and 15000 products.

Viart has built most of what we need, the tables (va_items_prices) and logic to compute price breaks are there, the admin interface to populate them is there, just no way to make the client interface display them.

We did submit a support ticket, they confirmed there is no way to render price breaks, it would be a custom. Over the weekend one of my guys wrote a custom block to display the price breaks. It needs to be prettied up a little, but it works!
