How do I customize emails that are sent to customers who create a new account, purchase a product, etc? Where in the admin panel is this located?

Administration > Payment Systems
select: Final Checkout Page - for the relevant payment system
 
Customer accounts:
Administration > Site Users > Users Types > Customer > Contact Form Settings
