Is it possible to have a unique custom block for every product listing and a different custom block for the product detail screen.
Right now when I create a custom block, the same one apperas on every product. For each product I would like a different custom block.
Is this possible?

When I go to CMS, I can move the blocks around on the page. I created a custom block gave it a name. It had some special product description which was meant for only that product.
But that block now shows up on every product in the shop. I wanted to setup so that I have say 20 products, on each one of these products I wanted it's own custom block with it's own custom message. Is this possible and how?
Thanks Dan

Alright, now I understand what you meant.
I don't think that this is possible . I suppose if you want to create a filtered custom block it's possible. When adding to a page, select the filter that you want, however I don't think that this is really completely logical. I would put what you want into the description for that item...

I think I have it figured it out. You can have a special message for each and every of your product, a different message for each one, using the Block setup.
You can have 1 custom message that can work for a group of products.
So if you have 20 products, and 5 of them are related, you can have the same message for all 5 of them.
You can also have 15 different messages for the other 15 products.
Thanks for you help though.

No not with filters, I have not used filters yet, don't know how.
This works with Custom Blocks and setting Parameters, so you can decide on which product or products the info will show.
I can show you how if you like to know.

basically, you design a custom block, giving it a unique name to associate with a product(s). Once you have designed your custom block, use your CMS module and use layout, lets say you want that block to appear on the Product listing page, on the right hand panel, so you select the block you had customized, as soon as you do that you get that blue selection box on the right. It has several options on who and where to show the block.
This is where you use the parameter option, you need to know the Category id #, which you can find easily by going to the category and checking its property. Once you have the id#, enter "category=51" where 51 is the id# of the category or product. if you wish to have the block to appear for many products then enter as such "category=51,55,67,80" etc.
This then will show the custom block only for those category.
Can you send me your e-mail I wanted to ask something.
Does this make sense?

It is not a trick, just the way ViArt works, I like this feature. This gives you control to display a different screen for each and every product. I realize you have description, but sometimes it is nice to have the block above the products to display a special message or instructions.

Easy to say don't do something but let's also help each other
My only (constructive) suggestion is to write mail addresses in a way the bot does not recognise it, like
myname {-at-} mydomain.com.
