Hi, im quite new to viart/php and was wondering if anybody knows a way to add a textarea for delivery information to the order_confirmation.php page and then pass it to the database with the rest of the info and also display on the admin_order.php page?
 
im not sure if it would be easier to add a customer block?
 
any ideas would be greatfully received.

Try this:
Administration > Order Profile Page Settings
select Custom Order Fields
 
That's how I do it.
 
ID --- Field Name ---------------------- Type --------------- Show Field -------- Field Control
 
1 Special Delivery Instructions *** Delivery Details ** For all orders *** TextArea
