Hi all, I am test running a demo site, and I need to set it up so that we can allow a select team of users to be merchants, uploading/creating their own products, etc. So far I have created a custom user type. Everything works, except I can get any Categories to show on the Merchants Add product page.
 
Has anyone done this before, or is there a trick to making the categories accessible to the merchants?

You should be able to select it within the category edit screen. let me know if that doesn't work, and I'll research a little... just going off the top of my head right now

I tried every combination of the check boxes in the category edit screen, LOL

The option you're looking for is in the cat edit page:
 
Allowed Post to Subcategories (merchants can post their own products to the subcategories of this category)
