when registering as a new customer, the country dropdown list clumps & sorts all European countries to the top of the list... it therefore buries some countries way down the list. I would prefer to see this alpha sorted by country without groupings.
 
Provinces - for Canadian customers - is a required field however, it is not provided. I was able to successfully checkout a product without this field.
 
 

 
The countries sorting first on country order field and then by name. You can amend country order for European countries so it has the same order as other countries to be sorted only by name.
  
You can make province field required from Order Profile settings.
