I have few doubts on Viart
 
1. Is calendar module available with Viart?
2. How can I change the category of a product, if I want to move the product to another category?
3. Is there anyway to mark the product as Special and list only special by creating a new navigation menu?
 
 
Kindly advice me on the above.

calendar : I suggest you put this in Features Requests
 
1 Go to existing category for the product : Administration > Products > Top > 'Cat Name'
 
2 Products in the category are displayed - click 'categories' under the product name and make the changes
 
3 Do you mean special offers - there is a tab for this in the product edit - you could edit the top menu [ Administration > Layouts > Rainbow > Site Navigation] to have a 'Special' menu item.
I am sure others will give you some excellent tips on this

For the calendar for date picker;
 
1. you can use java by Tigra Calendar PRO. as an example.
2. Place the applets/css in JS file section of Viart.
3. In the Options and Components section of Viart - create DATE Component insert a piece of code.
4. Active the Date Component in the pages you want the calender to appear. - you're set to GO.

ViArt has a regular calendar js component in the JS DIRECTORY,
I believe it works in the same manner as outline previously.

I know of no modular, but you have several options:
 
1.You can create custom blocks for whatever purpose and include it on whatever categories. OR
 
A. Use the "Options & Components" feature. OR
B. Use the "Related " feature. OR
C. Use a bit html
 
2. If you need something more- submit a support ticket to ViArt.

Are you just wanting to have a menu link that opens the product listing page for a category called Specials?
 
Administration > Layouts > Rainbow > Site Navigation
Add New Menu (Bottom of Page)
Menu URL = URL for the category - eg: /products.php?category_id=241
 
I don't know whether I am on the right track, but I hope it helps.

I am not keen to add external modules. I have my own js menu but I would rather be fully integrated; Viart is good at helping with this.
