Here's the message I received from Viart on this matter:
Hi Daniel,
Unfortunately, Call Center is not up-to-date with latest version. It needs to be completely re-written and we don't see much sense patching up the outdated version. Call Center is one of the most global changes we planned for future and which hopefully will be available in the next version.
So for now we will recommend to place orders via frontend.
