Problem with PDF order in customer mail notification

What is the problem?
It would be helpful to explain what you are seeing as a bug; then we can either test it ourselves; (to ensure it is a bug) or watch out for it in our installs.
We have the same issue in 3.5 and till now this has not been resolved.
This is a screenshot from payment processor, paypal, final payment. Although checked the PDF is never attached.
Been waiting for a fix for a long time, happy it is still there in 3.6 :).
Viart: Any chance to get a fix for 3.5 and 3.6?

Have you try to check off option - "if order has this status user can see and download invoice for such order" when you edit order statuses?
I think by default only Paid status has this option and thus user will receive attached invoice only when order will have this status.

Can confirm that this is not working for any order status, I double checked the settings for "PAID" status and made no difference.

or nobody uses them

I did and sent them a copy of our installaton. Viart needed access to our live system and this is an issue as it is live.

Hello,
Actually, the PDF invoice is sent to a user if two options are enabled:
1) The option 'Attachments [x] PDF Invoice' on the 'Administration > Payment Systems > Personal > Final Checkout Settings' is set
2) The option 'if order has this status user can see and download invoice for such order' for a successful status on the 'Administration > Order
Statuses > Edit Status'.
We recommend to check your Order success statuses.

We have these two options checked since the beginning. No PDF is attached.

Progress: Viart have confirmed this bug and are fixing it on our server - assume a patch for 3.5 and 3.6 will be issued.
The issue seems to be a settings one. Viart changed settings in the order status "Paid". I attached a screenshot of the changes they made, perhaps it will help others too.
