Anyone kindly advise on how to do backup of my entire shop. I would like to upgrade to v3.6.

If you mean the database? If so, you can do this from your hosting service control panel example:
1) Use the backup utility in the control panel.
2) Manually backup using phpMyAdmin. To do this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Login to your cPanel and click phpMyAdmin icon in Databases section.
Step 2: Select the database you wish to export the backup from the drop-down list.
Step 3: Click on the Export Tab.
Step 4: Click the Select ALL link shown in blue. Make sure the radio button for SQL is selected
Step 5: Check the "Save as file", give it a file name and click GO button.
Step 6: You will be asked to save the .sql file to the hard drive and click OK button.

Instead of waiting on replies to your questions, you might consider
downloading and use "ViArt Add to Search Plug-in" good for Firefox and IE 7 browsers.
This will allow you to seek answers that often have been address in the past or related FAQ and etc..
