Well,
 
After this new update, the basket no longer allows customers to change the number of items they want to buy of one product. Sure they can type in a new number or use the drop down. I've tried it both ways but when you change the number of items from say 1 to 12 or any other number, and click checkout, the original number stays and it does not allow you to change the number of items while in the basket.
 
You can order however many you want from the item's detail page and add it to the basket in whatever amount but can't change your mind once you've hit the basket. This used to work. What has happened?
 
Also looks like all images have to be hardcoded now for the SSL to work properly. Before you could have your site name in the SSL box and your image links in the templates could be /images/whatever.gif and it used to work. Now it doesn't. The images are now missing.

Oh yeah and why do i have a feeling this has something to do with a template change?

The basket should works fine as there wasn't any big changes for it. You can send your site details to our support team so we check the problem you have with your basket and images.

My basket doesn't work correctly either - especiall when using PayPal as the payment gateway - if the customer comes in from anywhere except the index.php it just fails their order.
