I can't find anything about the affiliate program. I signed up, but got no email with any links or codes.
 
And I wonder how long the tracking is good for. If I send someone today and they don't buy, but they come back next month, or in six months, but come directly, will I still get my commission?
 
Other affiliate programs have from a couple of weeks up to forever for the person sent to come back and purchase and the affiliate will still get a commission.
 
I don't see anything about that anywhere with viart.

Theres an overview of the affiliates module in the manual at

for versions from 2.8. However in 3.6 some of the admin headings have changed.
 
Cookie durations for the tracking are set in "Administration > Products > Products Settings"
 
Have a look at "Administration >Site Users > User Types"
You may wish to create a new "Affiliate" group or modify an existing type to become an affiliate group.
 
When the sign up process is started for that affiliate group type the new user chooses a code for the affiliate field which is added automatically to the sign up page.
 
If the code is (say) "frdeds342" and the url they then use is
http://lyoursiteurl/?af=frdeds342.
 
Existing members of that group have to reregister to become affiliates or you can add a code for them in "Administration > Site Users > Accounts" and notify them of it.

I've found that. I'm asking as a Viart affiliate what THEIR policy is. There is no affiliate help or policy page that I can find.
 
I wonder whether I send someone and they start with a free version and 90 days later upgrade, will I get a commission, or am I just sending them sales and not getting paid.
 
I am more of an affiliate earner than I am a shopkeeper and want to be paid for my efforts. Nowhere does Viart address this and I'm hoping for some answers.
 
How long is the cookie active and once they make one purchase or use the free version do I get paid for any upgrades?

Perhaps you should ask them directly as users here do not represent ViArt as this is a user forum?

When registered on our site as an affiliate, you get an affiliate code which you are to place somewhere on your site and when a client accesses our site via this code and makes a successful purchase, you are receiving commisions on your account. When you'll get $100 or more we're sending you comissions to your paypal account. Please note that a client should come via the affiliate link and make a succesful purchase. Only in this case you'll receive commisions on your account.
 
Please, note that previously we saved affiliate cookies within 3 months. Now, we've increased the time up to 6 months period. We consider that it is enough for a client to test a product fully and come back for a purchase if he decides to buy.
 
If you have problems with your affiliate code, please send us the request to support@viart.com or via our support page: https://www.viart.com/support.php and we'll send the code to you or check what is wrong with your commisions (if any).

Thanks, that 6 months was what I was wondering. But you did not say what happens if they take the Free and then come back and pay for another version later on. It was still me who sent them.
