Not sure who else would find the option to have additional tabs below each product useful, but if so, let me know if you're able to go in on this customization?

If you would like to have a quote for the functionality you described, please provide screenshots of admin settings and how it needs to look on the user side.
 
If you want our opinion how it needs to work, then the most simple way is to add a new tab "Additional Tabs" on Edit Product page with ability to add as many tabs as you want. The setting for each tab could look like:
"Order" "Title" "HTML"
 
For now we don't plan to add this functionality in the version.

I would LOVE to be able to add custom tabs - ones that I could add to specific products that I can name whatever I want. This would be the answer to something I am still trying to figure out a fix for.
 
I had asked about what appears to be this same subject a while back, but just hadn't gotten back to it. Please let me know what you think the price would be.

I am putting together a chart/diagram for the customization. I will post here prior to sending to viart (probably this weekend). This would allow us to have this tab added by individual product, or even by product type

Attached is what I've come up with thus far on what I'm looking to have.
 

Would you have the tabs automatically wrap to 2 rows based on number of tabs or would you have it so that it could be set manually? (ie, more shorter tabs would fit on one row vs fewer longer tabs.)
 
Definitely not a deal breaker either way, just curious.
 

The way I would have it, is so that it would be wrapped depending on the width of the box.
 
They better not come back saying something crazy like $1k

Do you envisage that clicking on the tab could, as specified in the tab properties, show in either same window, new window, or a pop up?

I didn't, but if that would help others, then we can add this feature?

If that's okay with you we can offer to develop a simplified version of Additional Tabs where it would be available on Product Type and Edit Product levels, the settings will look like this:

If you would like more advanced tabs functionality with some additional settings like Access Levels, User Types, Sites, Countries, Window Type, Number of Rows etc. the cost will be higher.
 

I would need the advanced. If the request stated the advanced, and I went through the effort of defining what I needed, then that's what I'm requesting.
 

As the additional options are not described at all:

The rough estimate is $1200 - 1600.
 
 

I guess I should explain better (thought it was pretty clear:

1200 - 1600 is rediculous!!! It's beyond outrageuos. I could see 600.00

That's why we proposed alternative simplified version of tabs functionality which we already implemented for some customers in different areas of the shop for different purposes. And it's up to you to decide if you'd like tabs functionality with all possible options or probably get a general customization like it was proposed by our team. For example, you could specify images and videos with the help of html tags and it would lower the cost.
 
 

Something already implemented in other areas would take 16 hrs to do (400/$25)? ViArt has stated prior that customizations are $25.00/hr for items which are globally implemented.

So this customization would be at the product type level, is that correct? Would the tab then show for all products under that product type or only if you put something in it on the product level? (Sorry if I am confused.)

Good Question. If selected under the type, and filled out, then you can have the same tab displayed for all products under that category (tab wouldn't be different for each product, just each type).
 
Alternatively, which would be used most often, there would be a link under each product called 'additional tabs' whereas you would be able to add tabs, and each would look like the image in just posted today.

I agree. We would need 12 people in on this.

Perhaps I would feel better if we had that often promised manual so that I could be sure I was already getting the best I can from the software as it is already!!

Perhaps there waiting for a Group Purchase for a operation manual...

I'm currently on developing my own product which will have the additional tabs feature, an updated support manual, etc.
