Chris,
It appears that the url is invalid. Type the url/src into a browser on its own and see what you get?
Your browser can't find the document corresponding to the URL you typed in.

Ah! Typo Dan - should have been:
<embed src="http://www.malikstores.co.uk/swf4malik/free-flash-clock-154.swf" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="200" width="200">
- and now it also seems to be working - mystery why I had a problem but I appreciate your help.
