Is it possible to have the Add to Cart only once per page
I'd like the buyers to go down the page, input their quantities for the various items listed and click on Add "only once per page".
It can be done on oscommerce

I'm not a fan at all of oscommerce. It's customization is what you, that's fine, but I wouldn't compare features to oscommerce...

Yes, Dan, it is my perception that people who are accustomed to software that needs a lot of customisation find it difficult to go with a package that is not intended to be 'fixed'.
 
It was a problem I had when I moved from my last shop software. But I have learned to ditch customisation efforts as I realised that, whilst it could easily be improved, Viart is already the best I have found (at such a price).
 
However, there is no reason not to ask for continued developments so, if you really do have a need for such a feature, jty, could I possible suggest that you put this in the "features requests" or contact Viart and ask what they would charge to code this for you.

Hi Dan, I wasn't comparing Viart to Oscommerce. You missed my point. My point is per my opening sentence "Is it possible to have the Add to Cart only once per page"
Translated - can Viart be configured to have Add to Cart only once per page ?
I guess the answer is 'no' seeing that we've gone off on an oscommerce tangent
I also am not a fan of oscommerce, cubecart, zencart or most of the free carts.
