Hi.
 
Does anyone know how I can add multiple products to a category as opposed to having choose each category in turn for each product.
 
e.g go into a category and assign products to it

Export, add at once via excel, and upload back.

If you haven't already set-up your products, you can set one up and then use the duplicate button on the bottom and also check the assigned categoriesies box
This will duplicate the product with its categories
 
If you've already set up the products, then you're stuck with the excel export/import

Sorry Dan can you explain exactly how to do this.
 
They are already in 1 category I need to add them to a second one called "All products".
 
Sorry I didn't mention that before.
 
I am sure there must also be a way by appending records to the actual database table but thought it best to check first before I do it that way

Once exported into excel, for category, please assign as:
 
Vivid Vogue;Temp
 
where 'Vivid Vogue' is category 1
and 'Temp' is category 2
 
';' separates the two
 
If in excel, you can also insert a column and past the 'Top Category' into all cells and then do a merge. If you want, I can create a video of how to for this on Community Expansion, but you must visit 'Community Expansion How To Videos' in order to post request for that.
