I use a music shop site that allowas you to LIKE the item with FaceBook - such as
www.musicroom.com/se/ID_No/0202469/details.html
Like [F] Be the first of your friends to like this.
How do they do that?
And can I easily add this link to my pages
- I have a FaceBook Page for my shop.

Yes, it's very easy to add/integrate Facebook. I use facebook for the comment boxes, like buttons, and evening logging on to my shop.
I'm going to be live again this weekend after some massive re-design and changes, so I can give you a link to try it out then.
But the like button alone, is just a really quick setup. More complicated for the entire social experience.

That sounds really good - I am now getting into FaceBook and can see it a better option for new business than, for example, AdWords.
I have tried FaceBook ads and they may be good for me as I have a very specialist audience and most other options don't offer me the same amount of material to help filter visitors.
Would love to have the link and any tips on how I add the LIKE link to my pages.

Sounds good. Last time I brought this up to you, you weren't interested lol. Glad to see you reconsider

Could you give me that setup so that, at least, I can get a start?
Thanks Dan - still had a problem but resolved it by changing http%3Awww in my piece to the obvious http://www !!

But then you're stuck with a static URL in your link. You could set this to auto by just using the '?href' command

You may use the AddThis service to make the url dinamic... By AddThis You will have even more options like share in networks, twit, send by email, or print.
I've placed the iframe into the block_product_details - after the price block, and the CSS to the end of my CSS file...
You can see an additional mini toolbar in the right top, what is AddThis too.
Tip: If You register in Addthis - not requied to use - You will be able to get weekly stats about shares and likes...

I have ?href in my IFrame?

Epox1, I do use AddThis as well: I am especially keen now to develop FaceBook with my site - just don't have TOCDCO skills.

Chris,
Once I complete my modification to some templates, I will send them your way with the "how to's" on using your own facebook information in them to fully integrate Facebook. ALSO, there will be one section that will allow you to sell products directly within Facebook, without leaving facebook.
Also working on setting up Facebook Credits as a payment gateway within ViArt Shop

That's excellent, Dan.
You are doing some very interesting stuff.
I have a big market using FaceBook.
It is the afro-caribbean community that is very active in social media.
As for selling through FaceBook, how does it cover delivery charges based upon weight - is this still handled by the shop and FaceBook is just the interface?

Facebook is just the interface. It allows an application to run through their site, while exchanging customer detail to your shop. The user can purchase credit points on facebook, for games, and other applications and therefore spend on your site via the application. All functionality of the shop is handled by your site. Only item that will need to be made, is to apply a certain multi-site property w/ a new template that fits within the Facebook Platform. functionality is available for http as well as https.
