I currently run several ecommerce sites using actinic which I've used since version 4.
A couple of these sites are now very large (over 8,000 products each) and Actinic is starting to struggle with what I need it to do. A lot of the features I want seem to be built into ViArt.
The only problem I can see that I'd have straight off is getting the data from Actinic's database into a useable format for ViArt.
Its not something I want to waste my time with to find out its not possible, so I guess I'm asking if anyone has had any experience in doing this? If so, any advice would be greatfully received and could help me decide to move over to ViArt.
All helpers, pointers, do's & do nots appreciated.
Regards
S :)

not knowing Actinic's db the real question is can you export the products to a CSV file.
The last conversion I did was from an Nexternal system to Viart, it took a few trys to get things to line up correctly but bringing the CSV into excel made things much easier. You'll need to correct the paths to your images because you don't want to have to manually correct them.
I suggest you do your testing with a subset (20 records) rather than the whole 8,000 batch.
