Does Viart accept e-Checks? I cant find anything out there that it does. I'm currently running enterprise edition 3.3.2. If not that would be great feature to have. Our company could really use it!
Thanks,
Aaron

If you mean checks taken by companies like PayPal, yes.

I use PayPal and often get e-Check payments through this route.

I'm using authorize.net to process our credit cards, but they also offer e-check with my service but it won’t interface with Viart because there is no e-check section.
Thanks,
Aaron

When I get e-Check payments they are made to PayPal (not me) and I am then notified by PayPal when the e-Check has been cleared so that I can then deliver.
I am not sure a trader can receive an e-check direct - surely, like any normal check it has to be paid int a bank?
agdm619, is not that how authorize.net works?

To answer Ign Saeed, people do use this feature I personally do. In our organization we accept donations, most people would prefer to use there bank account instead of credit. Although, a lot a people have Visa Check Cards which in that case the money is pulled from your checking account.
To answer ChristopherO…I am using Authorize.net AIM, in which I am NOT directed to Authorize.net’s website to process payments. All information is entered within Viart’s credit card template. There is not a place within Viart’s template to enter bank information and no place in the admin panel to interface with Authorize.net’s E-Check feature. I wish that option was available. I don’t like the idea of being transferred to different websites to process payments. I believe it is so much cleaner and nicer for the customer to say within the same website, it also saves in confusion on the customer side.
Hoping for E-Check capability within a Viart template!!

Yes, but with PayPal I do not have to do anything within Viart. Just a normal PayPal connection.
When a customer goes to pay at PayPal they can use the e-Check there and PayPal handles this. PayPal then tells me that they have received an e-check payment for the order.
PayPal then tells me when the e-Check has been cleared.
I really cannot see how you can accept an e-Check within Viart - how would you clear it unless you are a bank?
Perhaps I am missing something that is uniquely American, but I still think you need to ask Authorize.net to take these payments for you and how they can process e-Cheque payments to your account??

ChristopherO…I don’t think your understanding what I am saying.
If you will actually look at the Aithorize.net AIM payment system within Viart, you will notice under PAYMENT URL it says “credit_card_info.php” which this is a local .PHP file in Viart. Now under ADVANCED PARAMETERS you will notice that the IS ADVANCAED box it is checked, and there are other special script files within ADVANCED PARAMETERS to send payment information to Authorize.net.
Authorize.net is processing ALL our credit card transactions NOT ME. All the information is being transferred to authorize.net in the background during processing.
What I am asking Viart to-do, is add E-check payment system parameters so I can add that payment system in our website with out transferring people away from my website just like the Authorize.net AIM future works!
