I wish you could implement a much better WYSIWYG editor like JCE for Joomla.

I have seen programs (e.g. ecommercetemplates) that allow optional choice of tinymce or other full featured free editors. Would that be possible for ViArt?
I continue to love ViArt, but the biggest thing that would make it far more efficient for me would be a great html editor.

I agree. A better editor is needed.

Our position regarding adding third party modules is the following: most companies that offer free applications require licenses for commercial usage (including the ones you named) and that makes us dependable on that companies that's why we prefer to create our own solutions that will work 100% with the rest of the ViArt code and there would be no need to promote other companies' applications.
As for better editor, we agree it needs improving and we will definitely work on it in future.

There has been considerable discussion on this topic over the past two or three years, snixx, and yes they can do that.
There was discussion on the various options available.
Nevertheless most users appear to prefer it to be created and developed by Viart for compatibility and to ensure no problems on upgrades.
