E Commerce Shopping Cart Software Integrates Help Desk Support System

20 October 2006 - ViArt (http://www.viart.com) has developed their e commerce shopping cart software to provide users with a form of customer support. The help desk support system comes in the design of an email support system, which enables customers to fill in an online form with a question or query. The emails are then stored within the help desk for a member of the admin team to assess.

The online shopping cart's integrated help desk support system accommodates many features to make the customer support service as regulated as possible.

"The emails that come through to the help desk support system can be set up into several categories and assigned an individual manager, as default these are 'answered', 'awaiting response', 'investigating', 'proposed solution', 'closed', 'new' and 'request more information'. Many other features that make the help desk support system unique include its ability to create predefined responses to commonly asked questions, to set a different priority status to each request and its ability to automatically add Q & A's to a knowledge base. It is also possible for customers to retrieve their response either via email or by logging in to the users website, where they can view their support requests/ responses via their 'user home'.
